I have been neglectful of this page.

How fitting is it of me to come back to this page on Valentine's Day of all days?

I wish that I could say that a lot has happened since September but that isn't true. I am still at the same job and still working crazy hours and I still try to have fun when I can. Of course things seem to be on the up since Obama got into office. We still have a recession and the economy sucks balls but I am not referring to that at all.

I think that people want to dance again.

My friend LG (aka DJ Lovegrove) had an interesting theory that he told me about on New Year's Eve. He theorized that when a Democrat is in office as President, the music gets happier, people want to dance and listen to dance music. It makes sense; when President Carter was in office disco was all the rage and with Clinton in the early 90's we had house music at it's peak (as well as blow jobs from thick girls!).

It looks like his theory could be proven to be correct from my standpoint. The reason that I say this is that in partnership with my friend Sean Johnson (aka DJ Blak-Majik) we are in demand. We have some big events coming up that we have been booked for and we are in talks with other venues to provide good music and to get people off the walls and start dancing again. I am so glad that things are looking up in this area because I have been working hard for a year to get to this point.

In other news I checked out an awesome event at Red Maple called Moog, and it's held every Thursday night from 10pm to 2 am. It was a great time, there was great music to be heard and it was a positive vibe all night long. I would definitely recommend that you check it out sometime. They also have a nice blog with podcasts available for download at http://moogme.blogspot.com/. Hopefully we will end up with more events like this in the Baltimore area.

I hope that all of you that are single like me enjoy the day with family and friends (and go dancing!) and for those of you in a relationship don't fall for this scam of a holiday.
