Debate Night!!

So McCain has decided that he maybe should go and do the debate, even though no deal has been hammered out on the bailout (for the wealthy) plan. Probably his fault since it was reported that he didn't help with the negotiations at all.

I am hoping that that Obama wipes the floor with this guy. McCain has shown that he does not have the judgment or the character to do the right thing. The biggest example of this for me is his choice for VP. If you have been paying attention to the interviews it is painfully clear that Palin is way out of her league and has no knowledge of the issues that we face today. Her responses are downright incoherent. Obama needs to show that McCain is not what America needs right now.

What America needs right now is to start thinking logically for once and stop thinking "with your gut." What I am saying to be straight and to the point is that we need to stop voting for people based on what their gender or race is and start voting based on the issues. I am 99.99% sure that if Obama was white (and had a "normal" sounding name) that he would have a double-digit lead by now. People know that putting McCain and Palin in office will only make things worse for middle class Americans, yet they cannot get over their issues of the fear of a black President or they cannot get over the fact that Obama won the primary fair and square.

If you are a female and like Palin as a replacement for Hillary Clinton then you are a disgrace to all women since Palin is against many of the rights that YOU should have and McCain is against equal pay for equal work. If you do not vote for Obama just because he is black you deserve to continue to live your life at your mobile home with the meth lab in it. If you are black and are solely voting for Obama because he is black you are helping to perpetuate stereotypes that are negative to our race.

What we as Americans need to do is to use our brains and do some research. It is not that hard at all and you need to stop being lazy and believing everything you hear from teh media. It is your civic duty to make sure that you will vote for the person that may best serve your needs. You can start by watching the debate tonight and stop being too lazy to get informed.

And you also need to make sure you are registered to vote.

I can't even watch anymore!!!!

Ok. If you think that Sarah Palin is qualified to be Vice President, or anything in that matter you are an idiot. Excerpts of her interview with Katie Couric have been coming up online and it is painful to watch. I mean bad:

This is insane. If you was applying for a job, and I was in charge of hiring her, the interview would have been over by now.

Sorry that I have been gone....

....but things have been busy and I have been playing catch up so here are some quick hits since I am leaving for work son and I am starving.

1. McCain wants to suspend his campaign and Friday night's debate because of the "economic situation." AKA he is scared shitless and the polls are reflecting that they believe that Barack Obama is more capable of solving this economic crisis.

2. Barack Obama took the lead in a poll today, up nine points over John McCain (52 - 43). I still do not put much faith in polls since there are so many of them all saying something different.

3. Sarah Palin still has not been allowed to talk to the press. A particular news personality thinks that is actually sexist. You can view the video at Huffington Post.

4. Make sure that you are registered to vote. There is a simple way to do this. Just go to Voteforchange.com and take three minutes of your time to make sure you are registered and to do so if you are not. This election is too important for anyone to fuck with so do your job and vote. If you do not vote, don't complain if things get worse.

That is all for now.

The Daily Show

If I didn't have to work 12 hour days I would have more time for "The Daily Show." This is the show that has surpassed the mainstream media's ability to get the facts straight. You would think that would all of the resources that they should have that they could get the facts, but its a small cable show that manages to find the truth instead of asking stupid ass questions and glossing over everything. In all honesty, screw the news and watch "The Daily Show," which by the way is now on the excellent site Hulu if you miss it.

This GOP convention is funny as hell!!

I am grudgingly tuning into the GOP Convention before I go out to get my chicken wings. I was told that it would be some funny ass viewing, but damn this takes the cake! I am watching this and this has gotten to be lowest energy convention I have ever seen. People are there just looking like a bump on the log, and I guess that is all well since there is low enthusiasm for Sarah Palin; even GOP Pundits don't like her!

This is just so lame and I am turning it off. It could turn me to drugs.

A Cool Event Coming up In Baltimore 9/27/08

This sounds like a really good time! If you want to go let me know!

It's been a little bit....

Yeah I am sorry I have not posted (for the one or two people that may read this), but unfortunately for you I have a job that has taken a lot of time this summer. But anyways you do not want to hear me complain about that, but probably about things going on in the world.

Barack Obama gave the greatest speech I have ever seen and solidified my belief that not only will he be the next President, but that we need him more than we think we do. Unfortunately the next day, McCant, I mean McCain decided to pick someone to be his running mate who has less experience in national matters than Obama. Why is this a big deal to me you may ask? Not only did McCain harp on Obama's supposed lack of experience, but he decided to potentially fuck us over big time. His age and health are a big factor in this election to me, and he has the responsibility to (God forbid should he become President) to have a vice president who can take over immediately. Of course he did not do that, and this was a cynical move on his part to try to get the PUMAs to vote for him. So much for putting your country first, but what do you expect from a guy that almost finished last in his class at the Naval Academy?

Things are only getting worse for him. Check out the Huffington Post and you will all the facts about Sarah Palin, everything from her time almost getting recalled as a mayor up to potential ethics problems. With all of this going on I highly doubt McCain did any research. Hell is he used the internet he would have known all of the shit going on with her, but maybe he just didn't care and just wants to be in office. I could mention the pregnant daughter, but for me, that has nothing to do with politics, even though some think that it does.

What we know about her is that she likes to hunt, is hardcore pro life (against abortion in the event of incest or rape), was a beauty queen, has a journalism degree (2 year degree by the way), and makes a hell of a moose stew! Not only that, she also says the War in Iraq is God's will and she prayed for a 30 million dollar oil pipeline to come to Alaska.

But if that does not make her qualified, I have heard women screaming from the top of her lungs that she is qualified because she popped out five fucking kids. That's a bunch of bullshit. She would be more qualified in my opinion if she had learned to close her legs and stop fucking. I know a bunch of people on welfare who have five kids and I am sure that people would think they are unqualified for the position to potentially run this country. But hey if anything good comes out of this then we all know that we all can run for President!

I am hoping that people wake up in the country and realize that we have a candidate who actually cares about the country, its just he is young and black for once. Unfortunately I am still on edge as to whether or not people can look past their preconceived notions and prejudices, and not only think about themselves, but think about the future of their children.

And most importantly, stop being a bunch of dumb fucking Americans for once! Have some pride!

When PUMAs Attack

For those of you that do not know what a PUMA is, it is short for Party Unity My Ass. Basically, PUMAs are a contingent of women is are still angry that Hillary Clinton did not get the nomination. You will know that you are talking to one when:

1. They are on tv crying about it.
2. They are spreading the lies about Obama and have no evidence to back it up.
3. They say that they will vote for McCain, a man who would want to limit their reproductive rights.
4. Highly irrational middle aged (usually white) woman who you can immediately tell is undersexed and needs some badly but if men are smart they will avoid that shit (end of run-on sentence).

Example:

I am sure you can find more videos like this on youtube, but wow!

I have met some of these women and the truth is that they were already fucking crazy to begin with, so this shouldn't be a surprise, but the issue is that they are acting like this during the most important election of our period. They get so irrational, that like a woman scorned, they will do something to hurt the guy who's only fault was that people voted for him more than Hillary. Not only that, if they can't get who they want, they are willing to vote for the wrong guy and risk fucking up our country for another 8 years because they could not get a handle on their emotions and only wanted to see a woman elected President. (I talked to someone who was a PUMA and they only reason they gave me for their support of Hillary was that "it was a woman's turn. Cry me a fucking river)

Now I admit I come off sounding sexist and all that, and if you feel way you should really piss off and find another blog to read. Even so, I am speaking the truth here that this group of women are a bunch of crazy morons and that I hope that they are not allowed to ever hold any positions of authority because obviously they have shown that their self-interests are the only things that they have in their mind.

Hillary Clinton spoke at the convention last night and she posed a question, that was the most poignant line of the night from her speech. She basically asked the PUMAs if they were in it for her, of for their country?

My respect shot through the roof for her when I heard this.

Weekend randoms

I got back 2 hours ago from visiting my mom for her birthday. My brother and I hooked her up with and iPod Nano and a $25 iTunes gift card. She loved the gift so much she was listening to it and ignoring us. My mom always ends up afraid of electronics and she doesn't think that she needs something until you give it to her as a gift. I am glad that I got it for her and have pretty much gotten her into the 21st century, at least on the electronics side.

I also got to see my grandparents and they are doing very well.

I have been doing the best that I can to completely get over this whole girl thing. I have been so busy that a lot of times I do not even think about it, but then every once in a while a thought slips in my head and I get pissed off because I know that I have been played once again, and deep down inside, I do not want to completely trust another woman. I think that I am finding that as I get older and my friends are getting in serious relationships that I am really starting to believe that I may end up being the one who is going to be single for a very long time or more fearfully the rest of my life and I am pretty much preparing for that. Yeah I know its unlikely but at least I will be surprised if something happens. I will be even more surprised if I find a honest woman who actually wants to be with me and not feed me a lot of bullshit.

In other news, Obama selected Joe Biden to be his running mate. I think that he has made a wise decision to pick someone who will question him and who is more experienced. Joe Biden also is very good at going right after the people that need to be called out. I am starting to feel more confident that Obama will be the next president.

The olympics are over; they were awesome for once!

I am pretty much over it

I am pretty much over this whole girl business. Even so, I am now more cynical about relationships than I have ever been in my life. Here are my current cynicisms that pertain to me:

1. If a girl tells you that she likes you and then you meet her parents not long after meeting her, she will dump you and tell you that you are moving too fast.

2. Girls want bad boys because they feel better if they have to change someone. If you are a normal good guy, that means less drama for them to talk about, and if there is no drama, they don't feel important.

3. If you do anything nice for a girl, it makes them nervous, and that is not good for you. She will dump you.

4. Females lie. All of them. Never ever believe anything they say, they always have something to hide.

5. If you are a nice guy, and a girl dumps you, you become the bad guy and you will be treated like you do not exist. Even if you do nothing wrong.

6. If a girl does not respond like she normally does when you tell her that you like her or miss her or ignores that part of your statement, you will be dumped.

7. Always trust your gut feelings. They are usually right. At the same time play it cool and get more information before you make a rash decision.

8. All females are irrational. There is nothing you can do about this, but try to find the one who is rational a majority of the time.

9. When thinking about having sex with someone, always consider whether or not you would be embarrassed to be seen with a woman should she become pregnant with your child. If you will be embarrassed, abstain from sex with said individual.

10. Never trust a girl who will only have conversations through text messages. This may mean that she can't hide her true feelings when talking with people directly, and seeing words never conveys any feeling.

This is all I have for now. I am sure that I will find more later the more I think about it.

This kind of sucks.

A few days ago the girl who I have been hanging out with told me that she felt that things were moving too quickly and that she really wanted to be single. I am not going to complain about how I feel about that statement but rather I am going to talk about just how I feel about the whole thing.

I do not have a problem with what she wants, because I actually care about her enough that I want her to be happy, but at the same time I cannot help but feel like I have become the whipping boy for all females who have had bad previous relationships. She was involved with someone for a long time, and I completely understand why she would want to be single, but I do feel left out in the cold.

I have been lying to myself when I say that I am over her completely. I am not. I sometimes wish that she would hit me up, and tell me that she has changed her mind and made a mistake because I would forgive and forget in a minute, but I know that will probably not happen.

I only dated her for about two months, but sometimes you know when you found the person that is worth keeping. As much as I want to be mad at her, I can't be. She is still a great woman, and any man would be lucky to have her.

I made a new mix, appropriately titled "The Rejection Mix." There is nothing in there that is degrading to her at all, but it really focuses on how I usually feel when this happens, from sad, to angry, to ready to go dance my pain away. I think it is one of my better mixes; not perfect, but the flow I am trying to convey (subconsciously) has been acheived. I hope you like it and it is about an hour long. It is on this blog to the right. Let me know what you think.

Toby Keith Shows that Country Music is for the Rednecks

I don't know if any of you have heard this but Toby Keith, the douchbag country singer who I think is single-handedly responsible for all of this unquestioning flag waiving and fake patriotism has a song out now that is literally about lynching. I think that he thinks that it is a good thing. Here are some lyrics:

Well a man come on the 6 o'clock news
said somebody's been shot
somebody's been abused
somebody blew up a building
somebody stole a car
somebody got away
somebody didn't get to far yeah
they didn't get too far

Grandpappy told my pappy back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he'd done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street
For all the people to see

That Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon
And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing
whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds
too much corruption and crime in the streets
It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground
Send 'em all to their maker and he'll settle 'em down
You can bet he'll set 'em down...

So much for country music being wholesome and good for the family. Obviously this redneck fuck needs a good lesson. Let's see if he would be brave enough to talk this shit in Baltimore. I think not.

In addition to this stupid song he was on a radio show where he basically says that black people won't like Obama because he is a black person who talks and carries himself like a Caucasian. You can hear this shit for yourself:

Now when I was growing up and maybe even today I would get told that I act white because I am black. Maybe there is a point there (there isn't), but what Toby "Get er Done" Keith fails to recognize because he is a dumb fuck is that Obama is half white, so maybe it is ok for him to carry himself that way, you know, if there was such a thing as acting black or white. The other thing that pisses me off about his statements is that he has an idea that black people shouldn't act a certain way, namely being smart, and that we are supposed to act stupid all the time. I mean seriously, is this the guy that poor white Americans tell me all of the time is a good American? No wonder these same people are in the bad predicament they are in.

Sigh. Sometimes when I hear shit like this I wonder what kind of country I am living in. Obviously it's nothing to wave a flag about anymore. Unless you are a redneck fuck like this guy.

Quick hits

So somehow a recent Gallup poll is suggesting that Obama and McCain are in a dead heat due to McCain's stupid ads. Basically American's who believe this shit are stupid and if they vote for McCain they deserve whatever (bad) quality of life they end of living. Go America!

While McCain was acting like a little bitch, Obama was acting like a mature man and outlined his energy plan. Here it is:

I am going to try to record a new mix. Even though times have been busy for me this summer I really need to get some gigs. I also need to get a job that will allow me to have gigs. My current job destroys that. It destroys my entire life. It's no longer worth the money when I spend it on gas to get to work.

I am off to get some sleep before another 12 hours on the job. Peace!

Back Home in Pocomoke

So I got back today from a quick trip back to the Eastern Shore to visit my grandfather who was seriously ill. He was unable to speak, unable to remember people, and was basically in a state that made us believe that things were going badly. So much to my surprise when I arrive home he is back to his old self, startng trouble and doing work around his house. Basically we all think that he was bitten by a tick and caught a disease other than Lyme and he has been put on a months worth of antibiotics. This is an important reminder to protect yourself from ticks because they can cause some damage.

While at home, my brother and I spent a lot of time trying to get our mom fall in love with the internet. She is scared of it and thinks that everything she will do will cause her identity to be stolen. I need her to get used to it before I purchase a specific gift for her. She did pick up on it and at this point she loves to look up recipes, check her email, and listen to internet radio on Pandora. I must say that it has become one of my favorite sites, and if you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, they offer a great app for free.

While there I took my mom out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Fruitland, MD. I noticed how "rednecked out" certain locations have gotten, and this restaurant was no exception. You typical "flag waiving but ask no questions of your government" were there as well as lots of parents with 2 or more children as well as plenty of pregnant women. I can't tell you how relieved I am that I was a goody goody in high school and didn't lose my viginity until I was 19 and far away from the Eastern Shore. I know that I would have been stuck with some girl who would let herself go and living a miserable life. A lot of people that I used to go to school with live lives just like that. Not cool with me at all.

Before I left, John McCain put out a ridiculous ad comparing Obama to do nothing celebrities without even stating what he stands for. I mean, this campaign is ridiculous with McCain acting like a baby because Obama took on his challenge and cam out looking good. I would post the ad on here, but it is so stupid that I refuse to do it. I am sure you can find on youtube with all of his other stupid crap. I just don't understand how people would vote for someone like this. I mean, we as Americans seem to be voting for the dumb guy lately so we feel like he is one of us. What the hell is wrong with Obama's qualities of being smart, thoughtful, and level-headed? The obvious answer is nothing is wrong but we are dealing with old vs young, black vs white, male vs female in this election.

Well I got a chance to see this girl I am talking to (I cannot call her my girl yet because we have not had that conversation yet, but it looks like things are heading in that direction). She had been gone for a few days on a business trip so it was nice to see her again. There have not really been that many people that I have wanted to be with as much as her. If any of you had a chance to meet her, you would know why. I honestly found myself missing her badly while she was gone.

I am about to head to bed. I have to do my grocery shopping for the month (bulk is the way to go) and then I go to work tomorrow night. I can deal with nights at my job. Good night!

Baltimore and clubbing

I read an article today on The Baltimore Sun that was interviewing Jon Han, who is a promoter of a megaclub here in Baltimore named Palma. This guy is completely arrogant and delusional and believes that he will have no issue succeeding in this town. For example:

What's Palma's biggest challenge?

There's no challenge for us. We just do what we do best on a daily basis. We bring high-end DJs, and people travel to Baltimore. No one else does it here. I have no competition - no challenge. ... Everybody went against it, and I made it happen, and I did it and that makes me special. That makes me want to prove that the Baltimore crowd is a really good crowd - not what people from D.C. think. ... But I proved all these people wrong just on the grand-opening day. And I'm going to continue to prove them wrong.

Now this guy is full of shit. Here is my comment on this article:

I had some friends who went or tried to go to Palma on opening night and the reviews were not glowing. I had some hope that a mega club would succeed, but at this point and after reading this interview I have some doubts.

When it comes to clubs, Baltimore is boring whether or not you go to a place serving cheap drinks or to a location where a bunch of plastic people pretend to be upscale and rich and just want to be seen. Everybody wants to hear the same crap you hear on the radio or they want to go to a location where there are a lot of "pretty" people. There is no in between and there is no quality in this town.

There was some quality in this town, and that was when Mosaic was open before the grand renovation that got rid of the entire staff that made the venue what it was. In addition to Sonar and the Paradox, Mosaic was bringing in well-known US and international DJ talent for quite some time. Not only that, but at the time it was a classy place that everyone was welcome to be a part of due to its lack of pretentiousness.

I am beginning to see this same attitude in a lot of clubs that are opening up, and this article confirms this. This kind of attitude may get people into the clubs in DC (I have DJ'ed there and it does), but trust me it will not work in Baltimore. If you want to succeed in this city, check your attitude.

People in Baltimore will never, ever, go to a venue where they feel like they have to pretend to be rich and upscale and/or they just won't go at all. People can tell whether or not a place is cool and chill or if it is stuck up. Baltimore does not do stuck up here. When people go out they want to party and have a good time, not stress out about how they look or how they act.

This is not to say that people won't try to look good when they go out, but attitude is everything.

I still have to hold judgment until I can get there myself, but I doubt that I will have a good time, based on what my close friends have told me.

This is what I have been saying for a long time now.

Via Huffington Post:

When Barack Obama started running for president, he was widely described as arrogant for daring to take on the Clintons after just two years in the Senate, despite the fact that polling at the time showed him to be the only threat to Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.

Eighteen-months later, we are told by the McCain campaign and its traditional media parrots that Obama is at risk of looking "presumptuous" for his recent trip abroad, even as he has registered a small but significant bounce in the polls upon his return, presumably for doing what most of us expect of a presidential candidate.

The man who slayed Democratic royalty, who has raised more money than any political campaign in US history, drawn record-breaking crowds in the US and abroad, who has been ahead of John McCain since widespread general election polling began four months ago, this man is presumptuous for thinking he has a good shot at becoming president and should therefore get to know his potential counterparts and visit the sites of US military activity?

Most candidates Obama's age will be charged sooner or later with youthful conceit for taking on their elders, no matter how guilty those elders are of mismanaging the country. It happened to some extent to Bill Clinton, and surely to others before him. However, it is hard not to see in the ongoing attitude towards this presidential frontrunner, just three months before the election, something more uncomfortable that is not simply a matter of age, but one of race.

Throughout the primary there was a growing sense of disbelief in the Clinton camp that this young'un (older than Bill was in 1991 when he started running, mind you) really thought he had a shot at this. Bill, in particular, showed little patience for Obama's "fairy tale" campaign, eventually going ballistic because, in his own version of "some of my best friends are," he did not understand that even he, whose office is in Harlem, may be condescending towards African-Americans, and towards this African-American in particular. Perhaps more perniciously, some long-time African-American political and business leaders joined in with some of the worst stereotyping of the campaign, seemingly upset at the upstart who dared to go where most of them had not.

Now McCain is recycling some version of this superciliousness, heavily aided by a traditional media still so easily scared into thinking it is not tough enough on Obama. McCain can hardly hide his rage at this uppity kid who thinks he can hobnob with world leaders just as he does -- who thinks he has more judgment than a septuagenerian war-mongering former prisoner of war. And who sees no reason to wait his turn when barely 1 in 10 Americans think the country is on the right track, thanks to his elders' enlightened leadership. In a weird echo of the Clinton attacks, McCain smirks his way through one sarcastic comment after another, his face twisted in hatred and disbelief. Not only is Obama "presumptuous," he also "doesn't understand." It is never clear what Obama doesn't understand since he actually has not gotten his facts or, so far, his analysis wrong, as opposed to McCain whose errors in fact and in judgment are so numerous as to make one wonder where he has been for the past 20 years (poring over Cold War era reports on Czechoslovakia? Hanging out at the Iraq-Pakistan border? Plotting to bomb-bomb-bomb bomb-bomb Iran?). McCain is the most arrogant of Senators (not a light charge), yet even by his standards the tone he adopts towards Obama is so densely patronizing that here too it is hard to dismiss it as purely a matter of age gap. McCain's joke of an economic advisor, Carly Fiorina, is now also laying it on thick: she is glad that Obama is consulting with experts. This from the woman who nearly ran a Fortune 100 company into the ground and whose candidate knows so little about economic issues after three decades in Congress that Fiorina is reduced to repeating that McCain "has been understanding [economic issues] for months."

That Obama is actually able to listen to facts, absorb them and analyze them should be a good thing. We assume that those skills came in handy throughout his life, not least at Harvard, where he graduated near top of his law school class. This, of course, now makes him an elitist, as he would not be expected by the old DC guard to possess any such competence (charisma perhaps, analytical ability no.) Both McCain (894th out of 899 at Annapolis) and George W. Bush revel in their under-achieving school days, as if this made these scions of hyper-privilege any closer to real people. This tactic clearly succeeded well enough for Bush to be elected president twice, and McCain to be nominated once. But there is a sense that American voters may not be taken in again and that they may actually enjoy as president someone who isn't an inbred moron or a senile fratboy.

Obama's partner in elitism, his wife Michelle, is in extreme tongue-biting mode. This is a shame, but it is inevitable, as she too is under the kind of scrutiny that would make Cindy McCain's face melt back into some approximation of reality. It is widely understood that Obama is more deserving of close examination than McCain because she is more actively involved in her husband's campaign than Cindy is. This of course is a lie: McCain has campaigned extensively for her husband and, were it not for her family fortune and her private jet, he wouldn't even have come close to being nominated. The truth is that Obama is expected to play a certain role: strong, angry, overbearing, and every one of her statements is demeaningly parsed in that light. If every word uttered by McCain were analyzed and reported to fit the stereotype of the rich, spoilt, husband-stealing white woman that she is, all would be fair. But instead, we get adoring glances, little examination of her actual role and an occasional hiccup about Michelle Obama's lack of patriotism.

What angers John McCain and bemuses many traditional observers is how unflappable Barack Obama remains in public, no matter how condescending the attacks. There is little doubt that the thick skin he grew over decades came in handy as he started to run for president. The past 18 months surely were not the first time Obama was baited for being black, for being white, for being Muslim, or for not being from "here," and it must be fascinating, although not unexpected, for him to see these patronizing attitudes resurface at this stage of his life. For the rest of us, what is fascinating is to witness how these old-school mindsets are backfiring on those who hold them, making them look less wise, more prejudiced, less fit to lead and altogether completely unappealing. And to witness that in America in 2008, it is perhaps not a bad thing not to know your place.

I have been saying for a while that it is time for the younger generation to lead this nation in a way that will benefit future generations because (unfortunately) I do not believe that older Americans care about our future. They have already screwed up our futures to the point that we have a harder time succeeding in this world. I do not mean to say that all of our elders think this way, but when I hear them talk, and hear how ignorant they are, I tend to think that maybe they need to be voted out in order for any real change to occur in this nation.

Quick Shit

Saw "The Dark Knight" last night on IMAX. I tell you what that is one of the best films that I have ever seen. I highly recommend that you go and see it in the theaters, but it is about 2.5 hours long. Heath Ledger does deserve an Oscar nomination for his performance as it is very memorable.

I gambled $40 of my father's money and returned with 1 cent. I should have stopped when I hit $80.

The girl who I am dating is in Chicago. I don't get to see her until maybe Friday. I already miss her.

Got to go back to work tomorrow, day shift (meaning that I wake up at 4:30 am). I am really starting to get tired of this 4 day on - 2 day off schedule since we are really only supposed to work 3 on 3 off to get good rest (this is because I work 12 hour days). It is really starting to wear me out.

If you did anything cool this weekend, let me know! Peace!

Rants and Raves

So while at work overnight, I saw a political ad numerous times from McCain that blames not the person in charge in this country, not speculators, but Obama for the rise in the cost of gasoline without any explanation. It is completely ridiculous and makes John McCain look like an utter and complete dumbass. Here is the ad if you want to waste your time and get pissed, or if you actualy support this old fool, masturbate to it.

This isn't the only dumb thing by McCain and he has been doing a lot of whining since Obama is overseas getting all of the attention. If you go to Huffington Post, you can find numerous stories of his screw ups and his whining.

Tomorrow is actually a good day for me once I get home from work. I get to see a girl I am dating. I saw her last Saturday so it has been almost a week, but since I work horrible hours, I have to see her whenever I can. Then I go visit my Dad and we are going to see "The Dark Knight" on IMAX in Harrisburg. Then I come back because I work Sunday morning. Once I get back I will write up what I think about the movie, even though I hear that it is really good.

Time for bed, but I just need to leave you with this to brighten up your day. That is of course if anyone reads this thing.

RIP DJ K-Swift

Maybe some of you are aware that a popular Baltimore DJ died yesterday. DJ K-Swift is one of the people that I looked up to when I decided that I was going to DJ. I always watched her sets and listened to her mixtapes and hands down she is the best DJ in the region.

I didn't say best female DJ or even that she was. She is the best DJ in the region period and that will never change at all. We in Baltimore are really missing her, but we realize that the party has to continue because that i what she would want. So in her honor, this video is up for her today.

Get your club on somewhere and pay your respects.

Back to the Gym

Work has been killing me and I have not worked out in a long time. We can count that time in months. I am starting to see the effects of sitting on my ass for 12 hours, going home to catch some sleep, then going back to work and really not getting any time to do anything during the week that is healthy or active.

So in about ten minutes I am about to go back to gym and try to get that feeling back. I love feeling strong, but now my job has me feeling weak, and really, my body shape is starting to look like my Dad's and that is just not cool with me.

Gotta go and get my sexy back now.

My First Blog Entry

So here I am, deciding to get into the world of blogging. I really don't know why I am doing this. It could be to pass the time, just get some things off my chest, or just to whine and bitch.

Expect a lot of whining and bitching.

So some things about me:

I am a satellite engineer at NASA who really wishes he could be a DJ and make a living that way. For now though, I just settle with the once per month gig that I get since I am a newbie to this game.

I work longs hours and don't get much time off, hence the bitching and whining.

Currently dating someone who is really cool and I like her a lot. In terms of the bitching and whining, that is off limits for me, especially because there is nothing to whine or bitch about in that regards.

I am a Democrat and I support Barack Obama. I am against the war in Iraq, and I think all of that money being spent over there can be better spent here. I also think that we need to do a lot better in cleaning up our environment, using alternative sources of energy, rely more on science rahter than religion to make our decisions, and we need to take better care of our people, which we have failed at miserably.

I love the nightlife. I like to boogie. Because of this, the DJ booth is my wife and the dancefloor is my mistress. You will hear a lot about Baltimore nightlife from me.

I'm hot right now and have to go to work tonight.

Yeah this is pretty lame for a first posting but if the 2 of you that come by here read this, I want you to get an idea of what I am all about.

I promise later posts will be much better. Peace.
